Part One: Point of View
Initial Shot-
Issue- There is so much going around this old truck. I did try this photo in b & w but it didn't really help. This assignment taught me that just by changing the perspective you can eliminate a lot of the noise going on around your subject and also produce more powerful shots.
Part Two: Less is More
Issue- I was shooting these shoots right at dusk and the limited light caused some challenges. Most of which could have been eliminated with a tri-pod...but I didn't
have mine with me. I was able to use a few headstones
and things to help keep the camera still. Next time
I won't forget it.

i love that old truck - what a great thing to take pictures off! i think you did great by moving around and changing perspective, it has so much character!
ReplyDeleteand i love your last flag shot - it speaks volumes!
Okay- I want to be able to take pictures of that old truck! Cool subject. Your different perspectives really did make a difference. Love it!
ReplyDeleteTwo great subjects to explore with a lens this week. The first is so tactilely intriguing and the second very conceptually moving. Great idea to frame the truck through blades of grass--I would never have thought of that! Your last shot of the flag series has a suitably ominous feel with the darkened background. The dof showing the context but keeping the eye on the flag is perfection for me.
ReplyDeleteI also love the shot through the grass. It makes the truck look totally abandoned in the middle of nowhere!
ReplyDeleteReally good.
